May I extend a very warm welcome to the web site of The Operative Mason Lodge of Dundee No.47 holding on the role of The Grand Lodge of Scotland and Charted 6th February 1745

We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday - September to May, except the 1st Tuesday in October at 1A Wellington Street, Dundee DD1 2QA at 7.30 pm

On Friday 8th February 2019, I was proud, privileged and honoured to have been installed as Right Worshipful Master of this Ancient and Honourable Lodge, exactly 274 years since we received our Charter on the 6th February 1745, for the third year of my second term as Master, and thank again the many visiting Brethren who attended and helped to make it a night to remember.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Past Masters and Brethren of Operative 47 for having re-elected me to the highest honour a Lodge can confer on one of its members, and will do my utmost to further the interest of the Lodge during the coming year and beyond

The installation was conducted in a most excellent and dignified manner by Brother Brian Hunter, Past Master of Lodge Hilton St Andrew No.1220, ably assisted by Brother Alec Anderson Past Master Lodge ancient No. 49, and Brother Graham Letford Past Master Lodge Forfar and Kincardine No.225 and PGL Secretary

I would like to congratulate the Office Bearers who were installed into their respective posts, and look forward to working with them throughout our term of office.

Visitors to this site who are not members of the Craft, but who would like more information, are invited to contact the Webmaster or info@lodge47.co.uk and we will arrange to meet any interested party and enlighten him on the aims and history of the Craft in general terms and Lodge Operative No. 47, the oldest Lodge in Dundee, in particular.
